Malta Comic Con 2012 - Dates Announced

They say that the world will end this year. If this is to be believed than this could be your last chance to come to the Malta Comic Convention. So make it count!

The Malta Comic Convention 2012 will be happening on Saturday 8th December and Sunday 9th December at St. James Cavalier, Valletta. So book the dates now for 2 days of comic mayhem and fun.

During the Malta Comic Con the whole of St. James (all floors) will be buzzing with interesting and equally varied activities.

As usual an impressive roster of foreign and local creators will be exhibiting, selling and signing their work. Make sure not to miss this opportunity to meet and chat with your favourite comic creators. We also strongly suggest you take a look at the locally produced comics which already amount to an impressive number plus more exciting comics expected to be released this year.

Movies and animations will be showing constantly in the cinema. A varied selection of movies and animations will be on offer to cater for different age groups and preferences.

Talks, workshops and discussion panels including workshops specifically intended for children will be happening on both days. A mixture of both local and foreign experts on various fields related to the comic universe will be teaching, talking and moderating at these events.

People are also encouraged to come dressed up in costumes because this year cosplay is going to be the biggest yet. Professional Cospalyer and winner of several cosplay awards Calssara (Germany) will be one of our esteemed guests and will also be sitting on the judging panel for this year's cosplay competitions.

A variety of video gaming platforms will be available for gamers to come play for free. Also 2 major PS3 competitions will be happening.

This year Wicked Comics will be introducing the Malta Comic Con Hall of Fame for Cosplay and Video Games competitions, so make sure to be with a chance of having your name engraved on our winners trophy placard.

You can also participate in a variety of tabletop and role playing games which will be happening throughout both days with experienced gamers ready to help introduce you and guide you to an exciting and creative form of gaming.

Wicked Comics will also have its own stand selling some of the most wicked comics created and an assortment of trinkets for the occasion. Joining Wicked Comics, will be a variety of retail stands selling everything related to comic culture.

From the post above I can say that am looking forward to the next Comic Con. It looks like a lot of improvements will be made from the one last year! As the representative of KP I can say that we will try to help as much as possible to make this convention the best it could be!! xD
